DEMAND FOR SCRAPPING OF PRACHANDA-LED LUMBINI BODY

Kathmandu, 3 Nov.: The Buddhist Religion Protection Concern Coordination Council Nepal (BRPCCCN) has expressed concern over the appointment of UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal as the chairman of the national directive committee for the development of Lumbini, RSS reports.

Organising a press meet in the Capital on Thursday, Council coordinator Shakun Sherchan claimed that the directive committee was not legitimate. So, the committee should be dissolved and a new one formed with the participation of Buddhist people.

He further demanded that the committee should have the leadership from Buddhist community.
