GOVT.APPOINTS SENIOR OFFICIALS, 10 SECRETARIES TRANSFERRED
Kathmandu, 17 Nov.: Jiwanath Dhital was appointed chairman of Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) Thursday by the cabinet.
Upendra Sharma and Binaya Karna were nominated chairman of Citizen Investment Trust and chairman of management committee of Rural Housing Scheme respectively.
Career diplomat Hari Kumar Shrestha’s name was recommended to the president as ambassador to Bangladesh.
Ten secretaries were also transferred by government, Minister for Physical Planning and Construction Hridayesh Tripathi said.
Umakanth Jha has been moved from agriculture to industry ministry, Shankar Koirala from industry ministry to Election Commission and Kishor Thapa from Election Commission to education ministry.
Shankar Prasad Pandey was transferred from education ministry to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
Shital Babu Regmi was moved from water resources and energy to local development ministry, Sushil Ghimire from local development ministry to auditor general’s office and Nathu Chaudhary from information commission to agriculture ministry and Bishnu Prakash Pandit from Far-western Regional Administrative Office to water resources and energy ministry.
Pramod Karki was shifted from culture ministry to Nepal Law Commission and Suresh Man Shrestha from Mid-western Regional Administrative Office to information and communications ministry.

Kathmandu, 17 Nov.: Injured and disabled former PLA fighters at the 7th division Thursday in Kailali staged demonstrations charging they had been sidelined and ignored.
They threatened obstruct of integration process as 210 surveyors reached all cantonments Thursday to record preferences of 19,000 plus former fighters for integration, resettlement or voluntary retirement.

Kathmandu, 17 Nov.: Dhanmondi Club of Bangladesh entered the final of the Safal Pokhara Cup International Inter-club Football Tournament in the resort town Thursday beating Pokhara Eleven in a second semifinal 2-0.
Bangladesh Club and Tribhuvan Club of Nepal Army will play in the final Saturday.
