ILLEGAL STRUCTURES ALONG CAPITAL’S ROADS BEING PULLED DOWN
Kathmandu, 12 Nov.: Houses and other structures constructed
by encroaching the road in the capital and neighbouring Lalitpur are being demolished to expand the road Saturday.
Structures from Bijuli Bazzar to Baneshwor
in the capital are being bulldozed by the Kathmandu Municipal Coporation.
; structures along the road from Kupandole to Shat Dobato are also being pulled down.
The new initiative comes amid a drive to remove traffic islands
along busy roads in the capital to east traffic congestion.
The effort is inadequate, according to residents.

ONLY THREE ALLOWED TO TRAVEL BY TRACTOR IN
EASTERN ANCHALS
Kathmandu, 12 Nov.: Only three persons—a driver and two
others—will be allowed to travel by tractor in three anchals of
the eastern region effective Saturday.
The enforcement order comes into effect in Mechi, Koshi and Sagarmatha anchals.
The traffic enforce enforcement comes after 18 persons were
killed in a tractor accident in Sunsari this week.

Kathmandu, 12 Nov.: Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh
visits Nepal March 2012, Republica said Saturday quoting
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Narayan Kazi
Shrestha.
Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao visits Nepali the third
week of December 2011, earlier reports said.
Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai invited his Indian counterpart
to visit Nepal on the sidelines of the 17th SAAC summit in Maldives Friday; Shrestha also attended the South Asian summit.
