MORE DETAILS OF TRACTOR ACCIDENT

Kathmandu, 10 Nov.: One person died while undergoing treatment at hospital; five are seriously injured while five pilgrims are still missing.
The trolley detached from the tractor at Barouli VDC-2 in Sunsari and plunged into Chatara irrigation canal at seven in the morning.
Among the dead are two women and two men from two villages in Dhanusha district
Police said an investigation will be in the fresh accident and hinted shortcomings in road repairs and maintenance.
Among the dead are five members of a family.
Thirteen children were killed in a tractor at the same spot several spot.
The pilgrims were proceeding to Barahachetra along Koshi river
to participate in a mela coinciding with Haribodhan Ekadashi.

PM BHATTARAI INVITES MALDIVES PRESIDENT TO NEPAL
Kathmandu, 10 Nov.: Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai, who is in Maldives to attend the 17th SAARC summit, met Maldivian President Mohamed Nasheed on Wednesday evening in Addu City of Maldives on Wednesday evening, RSS reports..

In the meeting, it was agreed to develop the SAARC as a platform to work for the benefit of all sides rather a place for mere discussion.

According to Prime Minister’s personal aide, Biswodeep Pandey, the two leaders agreed to establish Embassies in the respective countries reaching to an understanding that the absence of embassy in either country has impeded diplomatic efforts.

During the meeting, the two sides also reached an agreement to immediately implement the direct flight connection between Nepal and the Maldives after holding high-level discussion in this regard.

At the same occasion, Prime Minister Bhattarai extended an invitation to President Nasheed for Nepal visit.

In reply, the President accepted the proposal put forward by the Prime Minister and gave nod to visit Nepal at the convenient time.
