NSU PROTESTS PLANNED AMNESTY FOR MAOIST LAWMAKER CONVICTED FOR MURDER

Kathmandu, 0 Nov.: Nepal Students; Union (NSU), student wing of
main opposition NC, is taking out a protest demonstration against the planned amnesty for a Maoist lawmaker convicted by the supreme court for murder.
The NSU is presenting a memorandum to the president not to amnesty
the lawmaker.
Government claims its appeal to the constitutional president to pardon its lawmaker is both constitutional and legal.
NSU disrupted the movement of vehicles Thursday in the capital in
the morning for 30 minutes as did students of another opposition
party UML separately.

FIVE SUSPECTS FOR LALITPUR MURDER ARRESTED

Kathmandu, 10 Nov.: Five suspects have been arrested for questioning for the murder of a trader tat Dapakhel in Lalitpur Tuesday night.
Shrawan Khadha was shot as he was driving home on a motorcycle
after closing his shop in Thamel.
He died while undergoing treatment for chest
injuries
Faizan Ahmed was shot dead in the capital 25 September.
