Kathmandu, 8 Nov.: One among three persons injured Tuesday
in a pipe bomb explosion at a house in Nepalgunj died while
being treated for was injuries at Bheri Anchal Hospital.
Two other seriously injured have been referred to a hospital
in Lucknow.

PM BHATTARAI LEAVES FOR MALDIVES UPDATE

Kathmandu, 8 Nov. Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai
flew for Maldives Tuesday to attend the 17th SAARC summit beginning there Thursday.
The premier will reach the atolll republic Wednesday catching connecting flights from New Delhi and Colombo.

HIMALAYAN BANK ATM SECURITY GUARD FOUND DEAD

Kathmandu, 8 Nov.: The security guard of ATM of the Himalayan Bank at Surya Binayak of Bhaktapur was found dead at the bank on Tuesday, RSS reports froom Bhaktapur..

The guard Bishnu Chhetri, 64, of Nuwakot living in Bhaktapur was found dead in the bank premises.
He was currently living in Sanothimi, said the Police Inspector of the Metropolitan Police Sector Jagate, Keshav Prasad Thebe.

The family was informed after he was found dead at 8:00 am and will be taken for postmortem only after the relatives arrive, the police said.

Thebe said investigation is underway and bank employees and locals have been inquired about it.

He said it was not clear whether it was a murder or natural death, adding it will be known only after postmortem and further investigation.

INDIAN TOURISTS OVERLANDD FROM BELHIYA CHECKPOINT
IN WESTERN REGION UP

Kathmandu, 8 Nov.: Number of tourists entering Nepal by land via Belhiya checkpoint has gone beyond 100,000 during the past 10 months, RSS reports from Butwal..

The score of tourists arriving Nepal from the third country is ever the highest to this date.

According to Immigration Office Belahiya, some 100,594 tourists from third countries (excluding India) arrived Nepal for visits via land routes till October 2011.

Nepal drew highest number of 48,191 tourists from Sri Lanka alone during the past 10 months, informed In-charge of Immigration Office Belahiya Rajendra Raj Adhikari.

Likewise, 15,159 tourists from Thailand, 7,580 from Myanmar (Burma) and 3,996 from South Korea entered Nepal during the period.

The score this year has increased by 26,188 in number compared to the data that of last year.

Altogether 75,932 tourists came to Nepal by land till October, 2010.

More than 40,000 foreigners are expected to visit Nepal via land route in rest two months, said chairperson of Siddhartha Association of Travel Agent (SATA), Sanjaya Bajimaya.

The main destination of almost all the tourists entering via the land route is Lumbini.
