EXTENSION
Kathmandu, 26 Nov.: A main NC central committee Saturday
empowered leader of parliamentary party leader Ram Chndra
Paudel to decide on the extension of constituent assembly (CA)
tenure after consultations with other parties.
The committee met to discuss the duration of the CA extension after 30 November after deciding Friday the extension should be for a
short period amid a call for a six-month extension by government.
The parliamentary party couldn’t decide the time for duration
extension.
Supporters of Sher Bahadur Deuba attended the meeting Saturday after boycotting central committee meetings.
“A clear schedule must be announced with a work plan for implementation,” Spokesman Nabindra Raj Joshi said after the meet. ‘We decided tohold discussions with other parties..”
The parliamentary also discussed and reviewed implementation of
the peace process, he added.
