POLICE ESCORTING STRANDED VEHICLES IN TERAI;OTHER DETAILS

Kathmandu, 26 Nov.: Police is escorting vehicles stranded on highways in tera districts manly in the far-West and Western region on the fourth day of a strike protesting moves to extend constituent assembly tenure after 30 November, radio reports said.
Kailali has been hit hard by the strike.
But RSS adds from Kanchanpur: The general strike organized by nine fringe political parties has not affected the normal life in Kanchanpur district on Saturday, the fourth consecutive day of the strike.

The fringe parties have called the strike indefinitely demanding to form a civilian government by dissolving the Constituent Assembly (CA). However the strike has turned ineffective in the district.

Police said that the vehicles to and from the district are running smoothly and the factories and markets have also opened as usual.

District police office said that no untoward incident was reported during the strike in the district.
