WRIT REGSTERED AT SUPREME COURT CHALLENGNG GOVT. DECISION TO RECOMMEND AMNESTY FOR PARTY LAWMAKER CONVICTED FOR MURDER

Kathmandu, 10 Nov.: A writ was registered at the supreme court
challenging the legality of a decision of the cabinet to recommend the
amnesty of a aoist lawmaker for the murder of Ujjal Kumar
Shrestha.
Shabitri Shrestha, the elder sister of Ujjal, registered the writ.
Shabitri has threatened self-immolation if the president amnesties the lawmaker.

RCT IN QUARTERFINAL OF POKHARA FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

Kathmandu, 10 Nov.: Rani Pokhari Corner (RCR) team beat Nepal Police 1-0 in extended time to enter the quarterfinal Thursday of Safal Pokhara Cup
International Inter-club Football tournament.
The goal was scored in the 9th minute of extended time by Amar Dangol.
