COLDEST WINTER OF 2011 RECORDED IN CAPITAL THURSDAY WITHMERCCCCCCURY DIPPING TO 1.5 DEGREES CELSIUS

youth in Kalikot by a man of a perceived higher class closed down Ruphendhaehi Friday.
Normal life in the southwest district has been disturbed.
A bandh hit Kailali in the far-West as well.
Parliament proceedings were disrupted Thursday by the Kalikot murder.

COLDEST TEMPERAURE RECORDED IN CAPITAL
THURSDAY

Kathmandu, 23 Dec.: The capital recoded the coldest winter of
2011 when the mercury fell to 1.5 degrees Celsius Thursday.
Thursday 22 December was also winter solstice.

NEPAL BANK LTD HAS NEW CHAIRMAN

Kathmandu, 23 Dec.: Deb Raj Adhikari has been appointed
chairman of Nepal Bank Ltd.
A board meeting of Nepal Rashtra Bank appointed Adhikar chief of the country’s oldest bank
Adhikari was associated with Tribhuvan University.
The central bank Thursday also approved its five-year strategy.
