Kathmandu, 22 Dec.: Suresh Kumar Shah, 16, was shot dead and a dozen others in a shootout land scuffle with armed thieves at Belha-3 in Siraha overnight, police said.
Locals attempted to fight off the marauders in the bloody encounter.
The village was raided at two in the morning,
police said.
Among the injured are women and children.

The injured have been receiving treatment at the district hospital, Lahan. Of the injured, six are in critical condition. They are going to be taken out of the district for further treatment.

The incident has left the villagers terror-stricken.

OPPOSITION TO PROTEST MASS RECRUITMENT OF 3,000 MADESHI YOUTH IN NEPAL ARMY

SCOOTER ACCIDENT KILLS MAAAN IN LALITPUR
Kathmandu, 22 Dec.: One person died in a scooter accident at Kupandole of Lalitpur on Wednesday night, RSS reports from Lalitpur.

Pravin Rai, 38, of Bhojpur died when his scooter Ba 29 Pa 2652 heading for Jawalakhel from Thapathali hit a road pillar as it got uncontrollable.

Rai died on way to Alka Hospital while being taken for treatment, said Lalitpur Police.
