CONSTITUTIONAL COUNCIL

Kathmandu, 16 Dec.: Minister for Information and Communications Jayaprakash Prasad Gupta has tendered resignation from the Constitutional Council (CC) membership. He submitted his resignation to the prime minister on Friday, RSS reports.

"I decided to resign from the post of the CC member considering the image of the Council. I do not want to drag other members of the Council into controversy and make their participation disputed," reads the resignation letter submitted by Minister Gupta.
