MAOIST CENTRAL COMMITTEE MEET AGAIN POSTPONED

Kathmandu, 2 Dec.: Friday’s Maoist central committee has again been postponed as an internal dispute in the party leading the government with six Madeshbadi parties intensifies.
The meeting was postponed until 23 December to give members time to prepare for the meeting.

UPDATE CA SECRETARIAT SUBMITS WORK PLAN TO PROMULGATE CONSTITUTION.
Kathmandu, 2 Dec,: The Constituent Assembly (CA) Secretariat Friday morning submitted a six-month to draft and promulgate a constitution on the second consecutive day of a meet of a sub-committee chaired by Maoist Chairman Prachanda.
The plan has set seven days from 21 May 2012 to draft a basic law.
The plan proposes the completion of a constitution draft by 27 February.

26 DISTRICTS VULNERABLE TO BIRD FLU OUTBREAK
Kathmandu, 2 Dec.: The Health Ministry has put in place high alert programme in 26 districts, which are reported to be the most vulnerable for bird flu outbreak, RSS reports from Nepalgunj.

Under the first phase, measures are being taken to put special vigilance, constant monitoring of poultry related business, awareness creating training and prevention tips in eight districts including Nawalparasi, Chitwan, Banke, Ilam, Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari and Saptari.

Likewise, Livestock Service Office of the high-risk districts have set up surveillance points in different places and put forward campaigns to protect people from imminent threats posed by the bird flu outbreak, said Public Health Expert Kriti Sagar Baral.

The Health Ministry has been cautious to provide necessary human resources, medicines, vaccines and equipments in the vulnerable districts, said Officer at the Centre of National Health, Education, Information and Communication, Ramji Ghimire, rss REPORTS FROM Nepalgunj.

WORKERS GOING TO INDIA FROM FAR-WEST VULNERABLE TO HIV/AIDS
Kathmandu, 2 Dec.; Almost three fourth numbers of work forces in India from far-Western region of Nepal have been detected with HIV/AIDS, RSS reports from Kanchanpur.
There are 7,599 people living with HiV/AIDS in far-western region alone, according to the information provided by Centre for HIV/AIDS and STD Control. 74 per cent of the infected are the employees who have returned from India.
Coordinator of District AIDS Coordination Committee, Kanchanpur, Ashok Pandey said far-western regional people are returning home with HIV/AIDS due to unsafe sexual relations kept in course of the employment..

NEPALI COMMUNIST FACTION OF RULING UCPN (MAOIST) SHOWN SILIDARITY OF INDIAN MAOISTS OR NAXALS ‘MURDER’
Kathmandu, 2 Dec.: The Mohan Baidhya faction of the Unified CPN-Maoist today condemned the killing of Communist Party of India-Maoist leader Koteswar Rao alias Kishenji, and demanded action against the culprits, The Himalayan Times reports.
The move comes a day after Baidhya told media persons that his faction ‘will not tolerate deviation from party’s policies’ and was ready to take any action to safeguard party ideal. Rao [Naxal or Indian Maoist fourth ranking leader] was killed in an encounter with security forces in West Bengal of India on November 24.
Issuing a press statement, Vice-chairman Baidhya and General Secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa said security forces ‘murdered’ Rao after taking him under control on November 24. The controversial move by the party’s ‘hard-line’ faction is expected to further fuel differences within the party.
The establishment side, led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal, has refrained from commenting on the incident.
