MAOIST CENTRAL COMMITTEE MEET AGAIN POSTPONED UPDATE

Kathmandu, 26 Dec.: Monday’s scheduled meeting of the central committee of the UCPN (Maoist), a radio report quoting Samir Dahal said.
Samir Dahal is private secretary of Chairman Prachanda.
The radio quoted Dahal as saying the meeting was postponed at the request of First Vice-chairman Mohan Baidya.

Kathmandu, 26 Dec.: A bronze for Nepali boxer Ratna Tamang is confirmed at the Second Benazir Bhutto Memorial International Boxing Tournament currently underway in Pakistan.
Tamang secured a semifinal berth Sunday with a 17-15 over a Kenyan rival in the 64kg weight category.

8th ELEPHANT INTERNATIONAL RACE IN CHITWAN MONDAY
Kathmandu, 26 Dec.: More than 20 elephants are participating in an unique eighth elephant international race and a football match at Baghmana, Chitwan National Park, Monday.
