MAOISTS SPLTTING INTO FOUR GROUPS; CP GAJUREL

Kathmandu, 13 Dec.: Maoist Secretary CP Gajurel said Tuesday UCPN (Maoist) will split into four groups with a faction led by First Vice-chairman Mohan Baidya.
Gajurel said this in Sindhuli Tuesday.
The largest communist party is leading a government of Prime Minister Baburam Bhatarai.
Deep ideological differences have publicly surfaced in the party more than three months ago after joining the government.
Baidya accuses Chairman Prachanda and Bhattarai, a vice-chairman , for abandoning revolutionary ideals and adopting a pro-Indian approach.
