SHIVA PRASAD PAUDEL DEAD; CHITWAN ON STRIKE
Kathmandu, 17 Dec.: Tarun Dal, youth wing of main opposition NC, Saturday called a Chitwan bandh following the death overnight of its district President Shiva Prasad Paudel.
Paudel died at a neurological capital where he was being treated for serious head injuries after airlift from Chitwan last week for emergency
treatment
The Chtwan Tarun Dal chief was mauled by a group inside the district
district prison where he was in judicial custody for investigation of a UML youth leader Sanjaya Lama
Five were injured in a brawl 6 December.
Chitwan district officials are huddled in emergency discussions following the death in the capital with likely ripple effects.
Top leaders, including NC President Sushil Koirala, have gone to the hospital following Paudel’s overnight death.
