NEMBANG ASKS PARTIES TO CONCLUDE REMAINING WORK FOR PEACE
Kathmandu, 25 Dec.: Chairman of the Constituent Assembly Subash Nembang has urged the government and political parties to conclude remaining works of the peace process by calling the meeting of Special Committee at the earliest as there is no alternative to taking peace process and constitution drafting to logical conclusion, RSS reports.

Speaking at the second annual meeting of Gorkha Communication Cooperatives, he said the contentious issues in the CC should be discussed and settled at the earliest.

Nembang mentioned that the problems had arisen when the political leaders could not take decisions on the issues in which the parties had already forged consensus in the committee meeting earlier.

He further said there is no alternative to taking decision through political consensus as there is no clear majority of any party in the CA.

Thus, the achievements made through different movements should be institutionalised and the political leaders should forge consensus to gain further achievements, he said.
