NEPALTOP SOUTH ASIAN SOCCER NATION

54, 972 BHUTANESE REFUGEES REMAIN IN EAST NEPAL CAMPS

Kathmandu, 21 Dec.: Altogether 54,972 Bhutanese refugees
remain at camps in east Nepal administered by UNHCR.
Of them, 13,689 want to return home from where they were
forcibly evicted.
Another 41,293 refugees of Hindu Nepali ethnicity seek
resettlement in third countries.
Altogether 58,412 have been resettled in third countries—49,012
in USA, UNHCR said.

NEPAL TOP SOUTH ASIAN SOCCER NATION

Kathmandu, 21 Dec.: Nepal lost 10 positions in Wednesday’s world rankings of FIFA, the world’s supreme soccer sporting body.
But the Himalayan state tops South Asian ranking replacing
Bangladesh.
Nepal was ranked 153 with 144 points ahead of Bangladesh, India
Maldives, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bhutan.
India this month lifted the SAFF Cup in New Delhi.
Spain tops the ranking.
