ONE DEAD, 11 INJURED IN GULMI JEEP ACCIDENT________________________________________
Kathmandu, 11 Dec.: One person died and 11 were injured when a jeep plunged into Kaligandaki river at Gwadi-5 in Gulmi Sunday.
The injured are being treated at Mission Hospital in Palpa.
The jeep was proceeding to Galkot in Gulmi from Butwal, police said

KAVRE YOUTH DIES AFTER BRAWL

Kathmandu, 11 Dec.: A Kavre youth died Sunday while undergoing treatment for injuries at a hospital n the capital.
He was injured in a brawl Saturday at a village in the capital’s neighbouring district.

COLD WAVE HITS WEST TERAI

Kathmandu, 11 Dec.: Normal life in western Terai has been hit by cold wave for the past one week. The transport and air services were also affected due to poor visibility, RSS reports from Kailali.

There has been chilling cold due to cold wave, the sky being cloudy, and surrounding becoming foggy for the last one week which has affects air services, and land transport services.

The weather condition has even affected the vegetable farming, said farmers.

The number of patients admitted in the hospitals due to cold- related diseases have been increased.

According to Seti Zonal Hospital, Dhangadhi, most of the patients admitted for treatment of pneumonia, asthma, common cold and fever are children and elderly people.

Similarly, the poor visibility has caused delay air services, said chief of the Dhangadhi Airport Binod Panta.

Transport services have been delayed and chances of accidents were increased as it could be seen only upto 50 meters owing to the foggy environment in Terai areas where a driver from moving vehicle needs to see upto 200 meters, though the services are not disrupted, said Chairman of Far-western Bus Entrepreneurs Committee Tekraj Joshi.

The temperature suddenly came down since Saturday, said weather expert Chakra Bahadur Dwarika.
