PM FLYING TO GORKHA WEDNESDAY

Kathmandu, 14 Dec.: Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai is
flying to his home district Gorkha to address a public meeting Wednesday and will return to the capital the same day.
He’ll meet district officials.
The premier is visiting his district for the 47 th time after
assumption of office to keep in regular touch with locals of his home district, an aide said.

NEPALI RUPEE DEVALED AGANST DOLLAR

Kathmandu, 14 Dec.; The Nepali rupee was devalued against the dollar Wednesday as the Indian currency value fell against the greenback Tuesday.
The exchange rate Wednesday was fixed at Rs. 85.69 per dollar by Nepal Rashtra Bank.
The exchange rate was Tuesday was Rs.84.30 to the dollar Tuesday.

INDO-NEPAL POWER EXCHANGE TALKS WEDNESDAY

Kathmandu, 14 Dec.; Two-day Indo-Nepal power exchange talks are being held in New Delhi.
A 11-member team headed by Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA)
Rameshwor Yadav is participating in the dialogue.
Nepal has proposed import of 100MW electricity to meet shortage in the winter dry spell.
