PROBES INTO CHITWAN PRISON ASSAULT BEGIN
Kathmandu, 8 Dec.: Two separate committees have embarked on investigations into the incident of Jailbirds clash which took place inside the Bharatpur jail in Chitwan, RSS reports from Chitwan.
The two probe committees – one headed by the Home Ministry and another by the local administration of Chitwan – have expedited the investigation into the incident.
The team that arrived Chitwan on Wednesday evening enquired about the situation of injured having consulted with doctors and relatives.
Likewise, the team is scheduled to collect information today from suspended Administrative Chief of Chitwan, Police Chief, Prison Chief and others in connection with the incident.
The four-member team headed by Joint Secretary at Home Ministry has started the investigation in to the incident.
The report of the investigation into the incident will be submitted to the government within a week, Koirala informed.
Similarly, coordinator of Chitwan Probe Committee Ramraj Subedi said the task of collecting information from necessary individuals is on.
Five jailbirds including Nepal Tarun Dal Chitwan President Shiva Poudel were seriously injured in an attack launched by other inmates inside the prison on Tuesday morning.

DEMOLISH KALANKI FLYOVER PAC ORDERS
Kathmandu, 8 Dec.: Parliament´s public accounts committee (PAC)
Thursday ordered government to immediately demolish construction of an overhead bridge at Kalanki and other related work with Chinese
government agreement to widen the ring road around the capital.
Chinese and Nepalese governments have signed an agreement for the road upgradation.
Three directives were ignored earlier.
