SARITA GIRI RAI JAILED TO INVESTIGATE MONEY LAUNDERING
Kathmandu, 1 Dec,: Special Court Thursday sent
Sarita Giri Rai to judicial custody to investigate a complaint lodged by Indian embassy for money laundering.
Rai was arrested against the complaint for investigation and presented befre the special court.
She couldn’t account for Rs. 14.3 million in her bank account and was jailed when she failed to pay a bail amount.

Kathmandu, 1 Dec.: UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has vowed that his party, as the major stakeholder of the peace process, is ready to show maximum flexibility for taking the peace and statute drafting processes to the logical conclusion, RSS reports.
Speaking in a programme organised by the Third Lumbini- Kapilbastu World Day Campaign here on Thursday, the Maoist chairman also called on people following all kinds of ideologies, the political parties, and people of all creeds and intelligentsia to choose the path of peace and prosperity with the message of unity.
Chairman Dahal, who is also the Chairman of the Greater Lumbini Area Development Steering Committee, said the kind of efforts being put in for developing the master plan for the development of Lumbini is itself related to the efforts at doing something for Nepal and the Nepalis.
Stating that he met with the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in connection with the greater development of Lumbini area he added, positive and encouraging talks have been held for taking forward that campaign at the global level with him.
Dahal further said that the importance of this campaign has been established worldwide as the UN Secretary-General is scheduled to pay a visit to Nepal to that effect.
