UML STANDING COMMITTEE ADOPTS 9-POINT
POLITICAL RESOLUTION UNANIMOUSLY

Kathmandu, 23 Dec.: UML standing committee Friday
unanimously adopted a nine-point
political resolution.
The committee is discussing unity in the fractured opposition
party.
The party committee will meet again 30 December.

Kathmandu, 23 Dec.: Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai Friday
regretted deaths on the worst cold wave in 20 years and asked
officials to rush relief supplies to the needy nation-wide.
The home ministry has confirmed 32deaths so far
But unofficial toll puts figure at more than three dozen mostly in
the terai districts.
The prime minister said nobody should die of cold
Baring their chests in the continuing cold winter, terai residents have ome ot on the streets charging government for negligence triggering
the fatalities.
