MAOISTS PATCH UP DIFFERENCES TEMPORAILY
UPDATE

Kathmandu, 9 Jan.: Maoists temporarily patched up
differences at a meeting of office bearers Monday, a top
leader of the party leading the government said
Both factions agreed not to put rival political proposals for a
vote in by the central committee which meets Tuesday.
Chairman Prachanda will attempt to incorporate a call for a people’s war in an amended political paper to satisfy the opposition in his party
Tuesday while a debate on two party liens will continue
at the people’s level.
The two rival factions will work for a unified party approach o national
political strategy.

SECOND WINTER RAIN RECORDED IN CAPITAL

Kathmandu, 9 Jan.: The second winter rain was recorded
capital Monday.
More than 6m rainfall was recorded with snowfall in Daman.
Heavy snow and rain were reported from the hills.
