MAOISTS AGREE TO MEET YCL DEMANDS
Kathmandu, 25 Feb.: The UCPN-Maoist has agreed to fulfill all demands of its sister wing, Young Communist League (YCL), RSS reports.
Chairman of the YCL, Ganesh Man Pun said that party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has expressed his commitment to meet all demands raised by the YCL. Maoist leadership and leaders of the YCL held discussion on Saturday at the Maoist party's central office regarding the YCL demands.
The YCL has been exerting pressure on party leadership, putting forth different demands after the voluntary retirement of the PLA combatants.
During the discussion, Maoist Chairman Dahal said that party was watching the YCL with due importance and the whole party was univocal to resolve all problems faced by the YCL cadres. According to YCL chairman Pun, Dahal has also urged the YCL not to turn anarchic.
Chairman Dahal has made commitment to mobilise the YCL for the cause of people and resolve the problems seen in all sister wings to strengthen the party, Pun quoted Dahal as saying.
Similarly, Maoist general secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa said concrete planning will be brought within few days to make the YCL a lively organisation.
Thapa also directed the YCL cadres and leaders not to be anarchic but abide by the party's planning.

Alleging Dr Bhattarai as the main hindrance in paving way-out to the current political disorder, Khanal said, until the incumbent-Maoist government steers the helm, the successful action of solving problems is far off.
“Dr Bhattarai’s premiership is catering more problems to the nation,” said Khanal in a programme organised by Himalayan TV.
The former Prime Minister Khanal stated that the impending tasks of peace and statute cannot reach into the legislative conclusion under the leadership of Baburam Bhattarai.
On the occasion, Khanal also revealed that his party is holding discussion with the Nepali Congress (NC) to topple the present government.
While clarifying that the CPN-UML will not bulge to led the next government, Khanal opined that there is a greater chance for the NC to chair the national consensus government if it could embrace all.
Calling the latest proposal of Nepal Army (NA) on integration as positive, Khanal said the integration of former PLA combatants into the NA should propel on that basis.
