MINISTER’S AIDE YADAV DETAINED FOR FURTHER INVESTIGATION, SACKED UPDATE

for Forest has been detained for further investigation by CIAA.
He has also been dismissed from his post.

DFFERENCES ON LIKELY TO BE SENT TO CA

Kathmandu, 29 Feb.: Nilambar Acharya, head of the main
Constituent drafting committee has said if there’s no agreement on
differences on themes for inclusion in a proposed constitution, a report with differences will be sent to the constituent assembly (CA).
‘We’ll send the contentious issues to the (CA).
if there’s no agreement by Friday. Work is not progressing as it
should.
‘It’not for us to decide on a majority or minority.
“We have to work under consensus. That’s why there’s no alternative
but to send the differences to the Acharya , who earlier predicted a constitution won’t be promulgated by 28 May said.
The CA will them have to adopt articled for a constitution through majority vote which isn’t likely to be secured y any single party or group in the
601-member CA
Uncertainty prevails amid differences between major political players.
Big Three have to report to the main constitution drafting by this week with responsibilities given to Prachanda, Sushil Koirala and Madhav Kumar Nepal to recommend suggestions on constitution ,integration and drafting process of a basic law for adoption.

LIGHTNING KILLS FOUR, INJURES FOUR IN TAPLEJNG

Kathmandu, 29 Feb.: A 13-year-old was killed by lightning in
TaplejUng Wednesday, a radio report said.
Four others were injured.
