MINISTERS LEAVE FOR INDIA, PAKISTAN

INCONCLUSIVE BILL FOR PARLIAMENT

Kathmandu, 14 Feb.: The cabinet Tuesday agreed to table an inclusive
bill in parliament as agreed in a four-point agreements reached between
UCPN (Maoist) and a front of Madeshbadi parties in government.
The front has been pushing regional agenda while
supporting Maoists in government to get maximum concessions for the region bordering India.
Nepal has an open 1,700km border with India.

ENERGY, COMMERCE MINISTERS LEAVE FOR INDIA, PAKISTAN
Kathmandu, 14 Feb.; Energy Minister Post Bahadur
Bogati left for New Delhi Tuesday as head of the Nepali
team on bilateral energy talks between Nepal and India
beginning Wednesday.
The Cabinet Tuesday decided to send a 20-member team
for the talks under Minister Bogati’s leadership
A Joint Committee on Water Resources (JCWR),will
discuss energy, water and other issues.
Indian Water Resources Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal
will in heading the Indian team at the talks.

Commerce and Supply Minister Lekh Raj
Bhatta also flew for Pakistan Tuesday to attend a
meet of SAFTA conference on regional South Asian trade.

ACTION AGAINST 78 MORE BUSES
Kathmandu, 14 Feb.: Action was initiated against 78 more
school buses in the capital by traffic police Tuesday for transporting children in overcrowded vehicles.
Action was initiated against 212 buses this week.
The drive will continue, police said.
