PRAMILA CHAUDHARY OF APF BAGS GOLD IN 400M RACE
Kathmandu, 29 Feb.: Pramila Chaudhary of Armed Police Force has won the gold medal in the 400 meters women's race in the fourth day of the Sixth National Sports Competition. She won the title with a timing of 1:01 minute, RSS reports from Dhangadi.
Similarly, APF's Dilmaya Karki came second to win silver medal by clocking 1: 09 minute. Similarly, Manisha Adhikari from western region bagged bronze medal in the competition.
Similarly, in men's 400 meter race, Tilakram Tharu of Nepal Police won gold with a timing of 49.6 seconds while Siddanta Adhikari of Nepal Police and Bimal Basnet from Western region won the silver and bronze medal respectively.
Adhikari and Basnet completed the race in 50.09 seconds and 51.08 seconds, respectively.
Likewise, in men's 5,000 meters race, APF's Kiran Mahat won gold with a timing of 15 minute 40.2 seconds while Laxman Malla Thakuri of Nepal Police came second to win silver medal in 15 minutes 43.9 seconds and Minraj BK from Western region came third to win bronze medal in 15 minutes 48. 6 second.
Similarly, Ramprit Chaudhary of Nepal Police won the gold in 400 meters men's hurdles with a timing of 58 seconds while Santosh Shrestha and Dhirendra Chadhary of Nepal Police won the silver and bronze medal with a timing of 59.2 seconds and 59.4 seconds,
respectively.

MUKTINATH BHATTA AMBASSADOR TO DEMARK
Kathmandu, 29 Feb.: Muktinath Bhatta has been appointed ambassador to
Denmark by President Dr Ram Baran Yadav Wednesday.
He hails from Harmi VDC-9 in Gorkha district
Bhatta was appointed on recommendation of the cabinet.

FNJ MEMORANDUM TO MINISTER PUN
Kathmandu, 29 Feb : Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Kathmandu branch on Wednesday has submitted a memorandum at the Ministry of Finance, giving a seven-day ultimatum to fulfill its five-point demand, greatwayonlne.com reports.
The FNJ Kathmandu, issuing a press release, demanded that the government should double the advertising subsidy being provided to the media and adopt a proportional advertising policy.
The FNJ has also demanded that the government waived 15 per cent VAT from the media that carrying out a transaction less than Rs 2 million annually, sought a period of two months for registration in the PAN system and has demanded Rs 500,000 to train the journalists.
Meanwhile, the FNJ has taken serious exception at the government for imposing the registration rules on the media carrying out a transaction less than Rs 2 million annually, which is against the established regulations, reads the statement.
