supreme court seeks reason fromits administration

SUPREME COURT ASKS ITS ADMINISTRATION TO PRESENT REASON FOR NOT REGISTERING REQUEST OF PM, SPEAKER

Kathmandu, 29 Feb. A single bench of the supreme court Wednesday asked its administration to give reason for not registering requests one month by Prime Minister Baburam Bahadur Bhattarai and Speaker Subash Nemwang seeking review by a bench of rejection by registrar of their requests.
The premier and the speaker requested the apex court to review the administrative decision of registrar not to entertain the requests.
The supreme court had ruled the extension of the current mandate of the constitution assembly until 28 May would be the last.

DPM SEEKS SUPPORT
Kathmandu, 29 Feb.: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar has expressed the commitment to remove the fake landless squatters, who have been residing at different river banks in the Kathmandu Valley by encroaching it, RSS reports.

Home Minister Gachchhadar asked how can the people living by constructing RCC buildings in the name of landless squatters by encroaching public land, be landless squatters.

At a discussion program organized by the High Level Bagmati Civilization Integrated Development Committee on Wednesday, he further said he had requested top leaders of the big three parties frequently to support on removing fake landless squatters from the places, but he did not get the support as sought.

Home Minister Gachchhadar said he will remove the fake landless squatters at any expense, and warned he will rather settle other people in Tundikhel, if they did not support him for the same.

He said there should be no politics in development and called on all to work by rising above party lines.

The home minister also called on the top leaders of the big three parties to be serious for peace and constitution.

Similarly, Minister for Physical Planning and Works Hyridayesh Tripathi said that the government was committed to conserve the river banks in the Kathmandu Valley.

Chairman of the Committee Mahesh Basnet said there was a need of removing those living at the banks of Bagmati River in the name of landless squatters.
