UNILEVER NEPAL TO RESUME OPERATIONS THURSDAY

Kathmandu, 16 Feb.: A three-point agreement was signed between
Unilever Nepal’s management and workers Wednesday paving the way for resumption of production at the factory in Makwanpur.
Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai intervened to reopen the factory of the Indian joint venture company closed for 12 days with workers demanding increased salary and
perks.
The factory will resume operations Thursday.

BIRD FLU REAPPEARS IN SUNSARI

Kathmandu, 16 Feb.: Traces of bird flu were detected in Sunsari Wednesday one day
after authorities declared an outbreak of the epidemic was controlled in
four districts in the East
the flu virus was detected in Sunsari,Ilam, Panchthar and Jhapa.
Dr. Bolraj Acharya said flu virus was detected in Narsingh VDC-8.
