UNILEVER TO RESUMES OPERATIONS WEDNESDAY
Kathmandu, 15 Feb.; Indian multi-national company Unilever is resuming operations Wednesday after a four-day closure at the initiative of Prime Minister Baburam

The company has applied for a lockout following demands of workers.
The formal request for a lockout came as another Indian joint venture Surya Nepal closed down its operations unable to meet workers’ demands.
The garment manufacturer is seeking to diversify into another production field with a factory in east Nepal.

Kathmandu, 15 Feb.: UCPN (Maoist) Standing Committee member Netra Bikram Chand “Biplav” on Tuesday said that the alternative should be searched as the coalition partners have failed to work in unity, greatwayonlione.com reports from Dang.
Chand, speaking at an interaction programme organised by Revolutionary Journalist Association at Ghorahi, Dang, said that they are seeking an alternative as the political parties representing the government and its leaders have been encouraging anti-people activities.
Chand said he is ready for any other parties’ leadership in the government if it proves to be the best than the current government.
Also on the occasion, Chand said that the prime minister should tender his resignation in order to create an environment of statute drafting.

APF DIG RANJAN KOIRALA BEING CHARGED FOR WIFE’S MURDER
Kathmandu, 15 Feb. APF DIG Ranjan Koirala is being charged Wednesday for murder of his wife Gita Dhakal last month with confiscation of his property.
Police is registering a case at Kathmandu district court.
Koirala’s female companion Tara Regmi is a co-accused.
Both are in judicial custody as police prepared the charges.
