BIG THREE MEET INCONCLUSIVE UPDATE
Kathmandu, 4 March: A meeting of the Big Three was inconclusive Sunday and the parties agreed to meet again Thursday to continue discussions of integration, peace constitution and other issues that have created a prolonged deadlock.

NC President Sushil Koirala presented a suggestion of formation of aTruth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) and Commission of Inquiry on Disappearances (CID), as empowered by an earlier meet.
Substantive discussions weren’t held with UML leaders busy with a meeting of
their national representatives council meet.


Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, senior vice-chairman Mohan Baidhya, leaders Dev Gurung and Ekraj Bhandari, NC president Sushil Koirala, vice-president Ram Chandra Paudel, leaders Dr Minendra Rijal and Radhesham Adhikari. Similarly, UML chairman Jhala Nath Khana, senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal and leader Bhim Rawal attended Sunday’s session.

COMMUNIST SPLINTER GROUP CLOSES DOWN GANDAKI, DHAWALAGIRI ZONES
Kathmandu, 4 March: A strike called by the Rashtriya Janamorcha, a communist splintr group, protesting a proposed federal structure closed down districts in Gandaki
and Dhawalagiri zones Sunday.
Markets, industries, transport, and educational institutions remained closed.
Disqualified Maoists demanding recognition from the party closed down east
Nepal and some districts in the far-West.
