FIFA CHIEF BLATTER LAUNCHES $400,000 GOAL PROJECT NEPAL
Kathmandu, 9 March:: President of FIFA, Joseph S. Blatter has inaugurated the Project Goal Nepal at ANFA complex at Satdobato on Friday, RSS reports.
On the occasion, Blatter said that football would play an important role to build a civilized society and for national development.
He also opined that there should be no political interferences in sports and added that football would unite different political parties in one strand.
Blatter said that he has seen the bright future of football in Nepal and assured to help Nepali football as far as possible.
On the occasion, acting President of Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Zhang Jilong said that the football game should be played for social responsibility rather than entertainment and win and loss.
President Blatter has left for India today. He is scheduled to meet Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during his visit.
