NEPAL PLAY MALDIVES IN AFC CHALLENGE CUP 2012 SATURDAY

THREE PARTIES OF PANCHAS INTENSIFY UNITY TALKS

Kathmandu, 10 March: Unity talks between three parties of former panhas—RPP, RJP and RPP-Nepal—intensified Friday with dialogue at an undisclosed place in Lalitpur and residence of former Prime Minister Surya Bahadur Thapa, Kantipur PM said.
Thapa is Chairman of RJP—a breakaway from RPP.
Terms and conditions for an agreement between the three parties with the parties represented in parliament/constituent assembly,
Unity talks between RPP and RJP have been held for more than one
year and bodies have been formed at lower levels bring the, together.
The two parties that once supported absolute king’s rule and a
partyless system have now abandoned monarchy and support a republic.
But RPP-Nepal so far has been steadfast in its support for constitutional monarchy and a Hindu state and also opposes a federal structure now in in the doldrums with major parties NC and UML having a re-think.
RPP-Nepal has been demanding referendums on the sues delaying
unity of the three parties,
NC President Sushil Koirala admitted this week the main opposition deliberately delayed a decision of the subject,
A formal party decision hasn’t been taken yet and regional meetings
were launched this week to finalize a decision.
The party first blindly supported federalism in a 12-point New Delhi accord, now says there shouldn’t be more that six states having common orders with China in the north and India in the south including Himalayan, hill and teai regions.
A detailed federal form wasn’t envisaged in the New Delhi accord
brokered by India.

NEPAL PLAYS MALDIVES AFC CHALLENGE CUP 2012 SATURDAY

Kathmandu, 10 March: Palestine plays Turkmenistan Saturday
in the first match of he AFC Challenge Cupds 2012 in the Nepali capital.
Palestine won its opening match against home team Nepal Thursday.
Nepal lays Maldives in the second match on he third day of the tournament
Both teams lost their opening fixtures
Eight Asian teams are participating in the biggest football tournament hosted by Nepal.
