PRESIDENT WORSHIPS AT MUKTINATH TEMPLE
Kathmandu, 27 March: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav on Tuesday visited and offered worship at the Muktinath Temple--the famous religious site for Hindu and Buddhists–in Mustang district on the occasion of Ram Nawami, RSS reports from Myagdi.

President Dr Yadav, who went there on a Nepal Army (NA) helicopter, also inspected an NA camp in Mustang.

A large number of devotees have thronged the Muktinath Temple and Kagbeni to offer worship on Monday and Tuesday.

INDIANS GIVEN CITIZENSHIP IN KANCHANPUR
Kathmandu, 27 March: At least ten Indian nationals have been provided with Nepali citizenship here in the district making large financial irregularity, RSS
reports.from Kanchanpur.
It has revealed that the District Administrative Office, Kanchanpur, has distributed the citizenship to them among the 56 Indian people applied for the citizenship as per the recommendation made on 2007 by Bhimdutta Municipality.

The administration had taken Rs. 300,000 each from them and provided the citizenship saying on the basis of descent.



The Indian nationals had applied for Nepali citizenship some three years ago. Secretary of the Bhimdutta Municipality-4, Hirasingh Thakurathi said he could not understand why those Indians were provided with citizenship on the basis of five-year-old reference.



The administration has provided the Nepali citizenships to Indian nationals, Himamshu Lakhera, Ani Harijan, Bijay Jaishwal, Sachin Lakhera, Deepak Gupta, Rupkishor Gupta, Bipin kumar Dewal, Rameshwar Dayal Gupta, Krishna Abatar Dewal, and Ashwin Kumar Lakhera.
