REMAINS OF DHAKAL CREMATED

Kathmandu, 17 March: The last rites of Gita Dhakal, wife of APF DIG Ranjan Koirala was performed Saturday at Pashupati Aryaghat two month after she was murdered by her husband.
The Dhakal family performed the last rites after DNA tests confirmed the body parts were of Gita who was murdered and her remains were buried by the roadside beyond Thankot.
Her remains were kept at TU Teaching Hospital for tests.
DIG Koirala has been charged for murder.

Kathmandu, 17 March: Three children were buried alive by sand in
Khalanga, Khalaanga, Darchula, Saturday evening.
They were playing in the sand mine.

FURTHER DETAILS OF PM, SMALL PARTY MEET

Kathmandu, 17 March: Eleven small parties in parliament at a meeting with Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai asked him to be conciliatory and conclude the delayed peace agreement and constitution drafting.
Parties asked the premier to abandon rigid stances in negotiations withother parties for a breakthrough, participants said.
