SURYA BAHADUR THAPA, PASHUPATI SHUMSHRERE RANA ON UNITY DRIVE

Kathmandu, 18 March: RPP Chairman Pashupati Shumshere Rana and
Rashtriya Janashakti Party Chairman and former Prime Minister Surya Bahadur Thapa are currently on a tour of the far-West district promoting unity between the two
former parties of panchas.
“The country is facing its biggest crisis after unification by Prithvi Narayan Shah. The county is heading towards disintegration unknowingly,” Thapa said. “ We must have tobe powerful through unity to stop disintegration.”
They met and held discussions with supporters in Dhangadi Saturday.
“We’re uniting for power. It’s not just sufficient to be a party. We’re for inclusive nationality of Himal, hills and terai,: RJP Co-chairman Prakash Chandra Lohini said.
The two parties are also attempting to forge unity with RPP-Nepal which hasn’t abandoned constitutional monarchy and a Hindu state.
RPP and RJP have opted for a republic but are yet seeking unity with RPP-Nepal.

ANOTHER ECUREUIL B2 JOINS FISHTAIL AIR FLEET

Kathmandu, 18 March: A ECUREUIL B2 helicopter has joined the fleet of
Fishtail Air which now has a fleet of six powerful helicopters.
The new chopper will be out into service in and around Pokhara
and can operate up to 23,000 feet.
The Fishtail Air fleet is the largest operated by a Nepali private company, a statement said.

INDIA UNILATERALLY CONSTRUCTING EMBANKMENT ALONG
MAHAKALI RIVER

Kathmandu, 18 March: India has started unilateral construction of an
embankment along Mahakali river, Nagarik reports from Mahendranagar.
The river has changed course and is flowing into Nepal after the construction
across Khalangha in Darchula threatening district headquarters in monsoon.
The 300 meter embankment is along a suspension bridge across Mahakali river linking Khalangha with the Indian town of Dharchula.
Locals have asked district administration to immediately stop the embankment construction.
