TWO KILLED IN SEPARATE INCIDENTS IN RAUTAHAT
Kathmandu, 25 March: Bijaya Dhakal was shot dead Saturday at Dhamaura-8 and Fulki
Devi at Garuda-7 in Rautahat Sunday.
Rautahat, along with Siraha and Saptari, is a violence prone district.
A gunman shot dead driver Dhakal and decamped with a jeep,. police said.

MINISTER BHATTA SAYS PANCHESHWOR SHOULD BE IN NEPAL’S INTEREST
Kathmandu, 25 March: Minister for Commerce and Supplies Lekh Raj Bhatta has said that the Pancheshwor Project should be made in the interests of Nepal, RSS reports from Kanchanpur.
At a water conference organized by Forum for Local Development (FOLD) in Kanchanpur on Sunday, Minister Bhatta mentioned that rights of Nepalis should be maintained in the Project and added the rights should be focused on nation's welfare.
He further said construction works of Western Seti Project should not be delayed as the Project is the main threshold of overall development of the Nepalese.
The supplies minister said that Nepal could not get the things mentioned in Tanakpur Treaty and added diplomatic initiatives will be started with the Government of India for implementing what had been mentioned in the Treaty.
Minister Bhatta said load shedding has increased in the country after there was no appropriate development of hydropower and added there was loss in business in the country due to load shedding.
Chairman of the FOLD, Rishiraj Lumsali said that judicial rights of locals at the banks of Mahakali river should be maintained.
As many as 10 lawmakers representing in the parliament from far-western region, water and hydro power experts, representatives of different organizations related with water have been participating in the conference.
It is said that the conference would adopt a declaration, and conclude today itself. RSS

WIITHOUT CONSTITTION EMBRYO OF REPUBLIC WILL BE ABORTED
Kathmandu, 25 March: Chairman of the Rastriya Janashakti Party Surya Bahadur Thapa has said that the 'embryo' of federal republic would be aborted if new constitution was not promulgated by
May 27, RSS reports from Myagdi.
Speaking at a press meet in Beni, the district headquarters of Myagdi district, the former prime minister said political parties were to blame if constitution was not promulgated in stipulated timeframe.
Thapa also ruled out the possibility of change in government but said that the PM should resign on moral grounds if the present government failed to promulgate new constitution in time.
Similarly, Co-chairman of Rastriya Janashakti Party Prakash Chandra Lohani said the West-Seti Hydropower Project was vital for Nepal's development and none should obstruct the project. RSS
