FURTHER DETAILLS OF THE FRONT AGAINST MAOISTS
Kathmandu, 23 March: Maoist First Vice-chairman Mohan Baidhaya
didn’t take up leadership of the front against the establishment of
Chairman Prachanda and Prime Minister Baburam Bhatarai but instead
appointed secretary CP Gajurel to lead it.
The rebel group earlier came back to support the establishment amid
differences saying ‘government and party were being encircled’; this time
it has moved one stop forward threatening a possible split.
The group Friday announced a three-month anti-government and anti-party protest nation-wide protest programme it calls a ‘struggle’ for pressure.
The programme includes collection of signature from all 240 parliamentary constitencies for submission to the constituent assembly (CA)for a people’s
federal, democratic and republic constitution
Similarly, the front will also conduct seminars, rallies in constituencies
, stage torch rallies to oppose ‘ anti-nationalism’ and other aberrations.
