BIRD FLU ‘COMPLETELY CONTROLLED’ IN KATHMANDU, LALITPUR LGOVT. HEALTH OFFICIALS SAY
Kathmandu, 1 April: Bird flu that broke out in Kathmandu and Lalitpur districts have ‘been completely controlled’, government health officials declared Sunday.
But they said the Valley is still on alert.

Altogether 23 cases of bird flu have been recorded in Nepal, government health
officials said Sunday.

UPDATE SPECIAL COMMITTEE MEET INCONCLUSIVE; MEETS AGAIN MONDAY
Kathmandu, 1 April Following an inconclusive meeting that discussed Sunday a
work plan for integration into Nepal Army (NA) of former Maoist P: fighters bevause of time constraint, the special committee chaired by Prime Minister Baburam Bhattaarai will meet again Monday to continue discussions.
Maoist committee member and Finance Minister Barshaman Sngh Pun, NC leader DR Ram Sharan Mahat and another opposition UML committee member Bhim Rawal confirmed discussions couldn’t be completed because of time constraint and the meeting will resume Monday.
The plan was prepared y the committee secretariat for approval
