FURTHER DETAILS OF CLASHES BETWEEN MAOIST
ESTABLISHMENT AND DISSIDENTS
Kathmandu, 10 April: Baidhaya and the party establishment have been
holding separate meetings, forming parallel organizations and have publicly clashed.
Clashes in the last three days have centered around cantonments and camps.
as the rebel group demanded transparency in expenditure of money and hole aid for upkeep of formerly 17,000 plus fighters by government and mainly European states.
‘That’s partially true,” Secretary CP Gajurel, who has with the Baidhay
group admitted in reply to a question sided with a television network Tuesday.
‘They have given up everything,” Gajurel said charging the establishment for attempting to conclude peace and constitution with opposition NC and UML. ‘They are moving towards surrender.”.
Gajurel said a ‘propaganda’ was being launched against his group.
“We are no against peace and constitution. But what is in the constitution,” he asked.
Ram Sharan Mahat, leader of main opposition NC said: “This is a positive development. This is the reality.”
