FURTHER DETAILS ON MAOIST 10 PROVINCE PROPOSAL Kathmandu, 26 April: Main opposition NC has also called a meeting of its central committee to discuss what has been called a new Maoist proposal for 10 provinces. Both NC and UML opposed the idea floated Thursday. Madeshbadi front, a coalition partner of Maoists in government, have been taken back by the proposal. Especially three provinces in the terai as regional parties in the south push a One Madesh, One Pradesh concept. Only 32 days remain to promulgate a constitution. The Rs.1.21 monument will be completed in three years. Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai ruled out the returnof monarchy while laying the foundation stone at the TU in Kirtipur. Ironically, the land was donated by the queens of King Tribhuvan for Nepal’s first university.
