UPDATE HIMALAYAN CLUB DEFEATS JAWALAKHEL YOUTH CLUB IN BRITISH GURKHA CUP

Kathmandu, 18 April: Himalayan Club defeated Jawalakhel Youth Club 1-0 in
the British Gurkha Cup Wednesday,
The winner qualified for the quarterfinal with the win.

AMNESTY OPPOSED FOR SERIOUS CRIMES
Kathmandu, 18 April :Interest groups staged a five-hour sit-in in front of
parliament Wednesday opposing amnesty for persons charged with
serious crimes.
Nilambar Acharya, chairman of constitution drafting committee, was among those who staged a sit-in.
Government has initiated moves to grant such amnesty.
Supreme court Tuesday put restrictions and western countries have also opposed the government initiative.
