MORE DETAILS OF NUWAKOT LIGHTNING STRIKE
Kathmandu, 13 April: Lightning that struck a house in Fikuri VDC Thursday took lives of two persons, RSS reports from Nuwakot.
The lightning that hit the house of Ananda Prasad Ojha of Fikuri-6 killed his neighbor Roj Kumari Neupane, 30, and Menuka Poudel, 13, of Dandagaun-1, Rasuwa on the spot, according to the District Police Office, Nuwakot.
Menuka, a relative of Ojha, had turned up there to attend a wedding ceremony while neighbor Neupane was assisting in the preparations of the wedding, police informed.
Besides, four persons involved in the preparations of wedding ceremony at the house of Ojha today fainted due to lightning. The injured returned home after receiving treatment at the District Hospital Trishuli.
Three days earlier, a student of Suryamati VDC, was killed in a similar incident.

Khan, 46, who was in the U.S. to deliver a speech at Yale University on Thursday evening, also received a Chubb Fellowship, the university's highest honour.
The actor joked about the incident during his speech.
"It was a long flight, we were detained at the airport for an hour and a half, as always happens. Whenever I feel arrogant, I always visit America," he said to much laughter in the auditorium.
Khan has faced immigration trouble before, being questioned at Newark airport in 2009. At that time, the actor had said he felt "angry and humiliated.
