RIVAL MAOIST FACTIONS CLASH IN DHANGADI FOR SECOND DAY;INJURIES REPORTED
Kathmandu, 8 April: Cadres of the Mohan Baidya faction of the UCPN (Maoist)on Sunday have padlocked the Kailali district office of the party in Dhangadhi and burned down the documents, Greatwayonline reports from Dhangadi.
They padlocked the party office a day after physically encountering with the cadres supporting the party establishment in Dhangadhi.
Cadres of the party establishment had attacked a group of Baidya supporters when the latter were collecting money from the vehicles entering Nepal from India at the border.
The Maoist intra-party rifts has arouse in the past few days with the rival factions holding separate programmes and engaging in blame game.
On Friday, Baidya faction burned the effigies of party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai in Kathmandu calling them anti-nationals.
On the other hand, Dahal-Bhattarai faction accused the hardliners of trying to foil the peace process and constitution, and being in cahoots with the monarchists.

TWO DEAD IN AMBULANCE HIT
Kathmandu, 8 April: Two persons died when an ambulance rushing a
patient to hospital hit their motorcycle Sunday at Satdobato in the capital.
Sakhundole Khadka,17, died on the spot
Roshan Karki died on injuries at hospital while undergoing treatment for
injuries.
