ABANDONED BOMBS RECOVEREED IN BAJURA Kathmandu, 8 May:: Eleven abandoned socket bombs have been found at Rugin VDC-6 in Bajura district on Tuesday, RSS reports from Bajura. The locals had discovered the IEDs at 11 this morning and informed the Kawadi Police Post. Chief District Officer Prem Singh Kunwar said that the bombs would be defused only after two days as the area is two days' trek from the district headquarters. FOLK SINGER TIRHA SAGAR SUBEDI DEAD Kathmandu, 8 MayL: Folk singer Tirtha Sagar Subedi, who was critically, injured in a motorcycle accident, succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at Manipal Teaching Hospital, Pokhara on Tuesday, RSS reports from Kaski.I. Subedi, 32, of Kaskikot VDC in Kaski district was injured in the motorcycle accident at Ranipauwa of Pokhara on May 1. Funeral rites of Subedi, also a member of the Folk Duet Song Academy, Gandaki Zone, performed at local Ranghat today, according to the family source. Subedi has sung different folk songs including Sarangi Ko Dhun, Phoolaiko dalima, Sani Nani, among others. Nnnn $56.8 MILLION ADB ASSIST Kathmandu, 8 May:: The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has agreed to provide an assistance of 56.8 million US Dollars (equivalent to Rs 4.8 billion) to the government of Nepal for the implementation of Integrated Urban Development Project (IUDP), RSS reports. The financing agreement to this effect was signed between the government and ADB at the Ministry of Finance on Tuesday. The ADB is going to provide 44.8 million US Dollars in loan and 12 million US Dollars in grant for the development of physical infrastructures in Dharan, Janakpur, Nepalgunj and Siddharthanagar Municipalities. In accordance with the priorities of each municipality, integrated urban environmental improvements, including drainage systems, solid waste management facilities, and urban roads, will be build in these municipalities. Country Director of the ADB to Nepal, Kenichi Yokoyama stressed on making the projects in an effective, transparent and inclusive manner. The project is expected to complete by June 2017. nnnn
