INDIAN AMBASSADOR PRASAD MEETS PRACHANDA IMMEDIATELY AFTER FLYING IN FROM NEW DELHI
Kathmandu, 22 May: Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Jayant Prasad called on Chairman of the UCPN-Maoist, Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Tuesday at the latter's residence in
Lazimpat, RSS reports.
During the meeting, the duo discussed about the constitution writing and other contemporary issues.
On the occasion, Chairman Dahal said that the contentious issues seen in constitution writing process would be settled through discussions and consensus among the parties despite the parties were divided over the thorniest issues of constitution, Dahal's aide Shiva Khakurel quoted Dahal as saying.
Ambassador Jayant, who landed in Kathmandu today [Tuesday] itself from India, said that the government of India was hopeful that the new constitution would be drafted through consensus and coordination among the political parties in Nepal and the country would move ahead in the path for prosperity.
