MAOISTS DECIDE ON SENDING TWO REPRESENTATIVES TO GOVT.; OTHER DETAILS
Kathmandu, 4 May: Maoist standing committee Friday decided to send two representatives—bothmembers of the government- to a temporary government until 27 May.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Narayan Kazi Shrestha Secretary Post
Bahadur Bogati-who is close of Chairman Prachanda-have been selected for the government team.
Shrestha leads his own faction in the party.
Maoist Spokesperson Dina Nath Sharma said that Shrestha will be
Minister for Foreign Affairs and Bogati will be given the Energy ministry portfolio.
First Vice Chairman Mohan Baidya rebel group at a meeting in Lalitpur decided Friday not to jon a government under Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai.
A meeting of the Big Three and Madeshbadi parties Friday decided to form a national government by Saturday.
There was deep division in UML Friday central committee whether to join the
government under Bhattarai or lend it outside support.
Most of 24 members were against joining the government, party sources said.
