NO NC DECISION ON REPRESENTATION IN NATIONALL GOVT. FRIDAY
Kathmandu, 4 May: : Senior leaders of the Nepali Congress met on Friday to discuss the five-point agreement reached among the political parties on Thursday night, RSS reports.
The three major political parties—UCPN (Maoist), NC, CPN-UML and the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) signed a five-point agreement yesterday night to form a government of national consensus and seek out a consensus on the contentious issues in the constitution making process.
Most of the leaders during the meeting claimed that the party should stick its 7 provice model of federalism and should be flexible of forms of governance if other parties agree with it claimed leaders.
At the meeting held at the Maharajgunj residence of Party President Sushil Koirala, General Secretary Krishna Prasad Sitoula apprised the senior leaders of the party of the agreement reached among the parties.
The matter relating to NC representation in the national consensus government was also discussed and the responsibility to decide it was handed over to party President Koirala, Senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba and Leader of Parliamentary Party, Ram Chandra Poudel,
according to CA member Achyut Pandey.
