PM BAHATTARAI VISITS JANAKPUR INJURED IN TU TEACHING HOSPITAL Kathmandu, 2 May: Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai Wednesday Wednesday visited the 15 seriously injured in Monday’s Janakpur bomb blast under going treatment at TU Teaching Hospital in the capital. They were immediately airlifted to the capital the same day for emergency treat by army transport aircraft. Bhattarai visited the victims after flying back to the capital from Biratnagar Wednesday. A sudden storm over the Valley Tuesday forced the premier to cancel plans to return to the capital. Roofs were ripped off from houses and trees uprooted along streets Tuesday. Bhattarai assured those killed will be declared martyrs and compensation will be provided to families of the killed and injured. Five persons were killed and more than 30 injured in the black. nnnn JANAKPUR CLOSED DOWN FOR SECOND DAY Kathmandu, 2 May: Janakpur laws closed for the second consecutive day Wednesday to protest the bombing of activists of Mithila tajna protesting sidelining of their demand lby Maoists who have opted for l0 provinces in a federal structure. Mithila, the home Sita, consort of Lord Rama, is not one of the 10 provinces. Meanwhile, Jaya Prakash Sah, owner of a parked motorcycle at the bombing site, was arrested Tuesday. The bomb was attacked to the motorcycle. The four dead were cremated communally in Janakpur Tuesday. Nnnn
